There are some fixes in kio.git (Frameworks) which I think could be related. I
didn't check if they have been backported to kdelibs4. Check:

so hopefully we will see konqueror ported to KF5/QT5

i would sell my soul if dolphin would have never been invented resulting in no longer care much about the real and powerful filemanager, sftp-kio not supporting AES-GCM and other jokes included
