Confirmed. Assignment seems to work, but pushing the assigned button
does nothing.

Seems like the bug has been around for some time:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353644

Last time I filed a bug to kcalc, the fix took almost a year. Good luck!
