I would investigate something on the driver and compositing system. What
are the settings for Compositor, which driver?

Both are defaults shipped by Fedora 23 KDE.

rpm -qa | grep intel
xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.917-16.20150729.fc23.x86_64

Compositor - OpenGL 2.0/GLX

If I remember correctly, depending on the Intel generation, you could have
more (or less) fortune trying different combination of OpenGL 2.0 vs OpenGL
3.1 and EGL vs GLX

FIRST: whenever you change compositor-settings - logout and login again, i have seen repeatly bad effects like a black rectangle in the size of the window of a starting application and all sort of flickerings by only apply changes and after restart the session all that bad things went away

EGL is horrible unstable with the xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.917-16.20150729.fc23.x86_64 on IvyBrdige/SandyBridge

GLX / OpenGL 3.1 works best here

in december the was a xorg-x11-drv-intel wokring fine with EGL but crashing X everytime you played a video with VLC

did not try EGL with the "xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.917-19.20151206.fc23.x86_64" i have currently running from koji
