I will echo what Emilio stated.  LXQt is a terrific alternative for
those who are having issues with Plasma5. Yes, you can use KWin... and
in fact KWin will be the default for LXQt when Wayland replaces X.  You
also should give some of the native LXQt apps a try.  Pcmanfm is really
nice and lightweight.  If you need advanced clipboard functionality,
check out copyq.  You will find the vast majority of kde apps work just
fine.

Getting a bit off topic here but what do you use in LXQt for NetworkManager? Is there an alternative to nm-applet ?
