The detection is not really bulletproof, it only goes through first 5 emails in the folder it gets from Akonadi, trying to match familiar headers (List-Id, X-Mailing-List). I'm not sure whether it fetches headers from server if they are not cached in Akonadi, in that case the detection would fail. I'll check whether it's possible to request fetching the headers.
