When I said "impossible to use" it was an exaggeration, but...

In Kmail, for example, I view emails in the preview pane, I click on the email
header to open it in the preview pane and quite often, it will now also open a new
window with the email displayed.

Sometimes, when I click the 'f' menu icon on the taskbar, the menu will rapidly open
and close, even though I clicked only once.

When I use firefox and go to youtube to access the youtube dropdown menu on the
upper right, I have to press it many times before it will open.

When using google reader, to display an article when in header mode requires
multiple clicks to get it to open.

When using k3b for ripping some tracks from a CD, trying to tick/untick some songs
is almost impossible: the remain ticked despite numerous clicks, and it appears like
the check-mark image is rapidly flashing, as if a single mouse click is actually
registering numerous times.

I don't think it is my mouse. The problem has been getting worse for the last week
or a bit longer. I think that mouse clicks, sometimes, are read multiple times so
that the actions are duplicated or are done and immediately undone again.

This is what I meant by "impossible to use".
