sure, I'll do that - feel free to ask me how it's going if I
forget - here's a couple of observations after another 24 hours
KMail continues to be a little sluggish
One folder in particular seems to have real problems - it's called
'Probable spam' and it's where I filter Spambayes detected
borderline spam cases for inspection and sorting - the message
pane is still filled by that KMail 'bubble' theme with the
"Retrieving folder contents - please wait" message. I'm
considering simply blowing that folder away and recreating it,
but, I'm taking things slowly this time - messages are set to
expire after 30 days in that folder, and I'll probably wait and
see if it clears up after being up for 30 days, which should cycle
all current messages out of there - that might tell me whether
it's a corrupt message base, or whether there's some strange thing
going on with the folder. Other folders are mostly pretty snappy
and display fairly quickly as I move around them, though not
nearly as fast as Thunderbird which I'm running at the same time -
it's definitely a lot better than when I first migrated to 47...
