OK, 2 issues here

1.  (educated guess) on your upgraded system, k3b (v1) used different audio 
files for these notifications , but your preferences still point to the 
older/non-existent audio files

2.  on Fedora 16, qt-4.8 changed QUrl.toLocalFile behavior , breaking *all* 
kde audio notifications. :(  We've filed bugs, and have some work-in-
progress patches underway, tracking locally in:
