I can't reproduce this problem on f14/x86_64, however, I can on my 
f16/x86_64 laptop, where the notification is configured to play 
something like

KDE-K3B-Finish-Success.ogg
fail, but if configured with the full path,
/usr/share/sounds/KDE-K3B-Finish-Success.ogg
it works.

Methinks the bug lies elsewhere, besides k3b.
