How did it go the trial?

I did the same last Saturday and the result was not brilliant. :-)

Yesterday I add the email accounts (just for receiving) again by hand.

What I have discovered in the process:

	- disable nepomuk's plugins: http://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi
I did not had any luck here so I have disabled nepomuk completely as
virtuoso was using 195% cpu (dual core here).

	- for gmail based accounts I followed the tips given at comment #22:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258635#c22

and I have disabled the [Gmail] folder in the local subscription to avoid
those pesky warnings every time the email was checked. Note that the folders
under [Gmail] work and since [Gmail] does not have any messages on it the
final result is that kmail works as before.

My final problem is how to deal with very large directories, still
searching.

On a positive note the system appears faster than before (as long as you
avoid all the initial pitfalls). :-)
