Its not recomendable but, I always delete my KDE configuration files after a KDE update...

try moving your current /home/user/.kde to .kde-backup

and then start KDE with fresh configs

see if that works.

Obviously, I had to power down to get into rawhide, where it works, and reboot
back into f14, where it doesn't. Also, I went into sleep mode and have woken up
the computer a few minutes ago, and it still doesn't work.
