Since the very first version of KDE 4.0 that shipped (in Fedora at least), I have been unable to reliably edit files with kwrite (it complains of lack of permissions). Luckily for me I changed web host to a company which provides SSh access, so I have largely forgotten about this, until recently I hit an FTP site again, and same problem. It seems to me that KDE should be able to work with FTP and text files without hassle. -- Fedora 13 (www.pembo13.com)
