KDE 4.2.1: How do I put an icon for the terminal app in my panel ?

I did just get that to work.

The issue is that I have a narrow centered panel and it doesn't seem to
allocate space for the icon unless you move it around a lot.  If you
move the drag around enough it will allocate space.   Until that happens
though, it gives a crossed out circle for the drag.

I was trying to drag it directly to where I wanted it in my narrowed
panel.  The key is to just try to drag it anywhere on the panel and
eventually the panel will accept it.

None of this is obvious when you first try to do this.
