Up to you. > What I mean is the screen shot that I've attached. As you can see, I have no gnome apps running. Only KDE. My Login Manager is KDM, My email client is Kontact, My IM Client is kopete. Fully KDE. One other thing to note. I am currently not viewing any email that has a gpg key signing the email. I did view one before. After 10 minutes. gpgsm continues to run. gnome-keyring-daemon is still running. I have absolutely no idea why gnome-im-settings are running. There is no sign of Pidgin running. There is no sign of ekiga running. There is no gnome-screensaver running. Worse yet. The more emails that I read that contain gpg key the more gpgsm process run. Not that they take up a lot of memory, But the number of process clog up my system because of the number of tasks the computer needs to deal with. Linux IO is great, but everything has its limits. Yes, of course I can remove the packages. Now I can start thinking about why I would want to (^&*^&*^ - Just Kiidding). But why should I? In the off chance that I should actually need to use a gnome app or two (yes Virginia there are bugs and mistakes) as many users have had to do because of some misconfiguration or whatever? If a gnome app actually needs these things then of course loading a gnome app might be slower in KDE. OK. That's expected. I'm using KDE. But, to preload gnome-keyring-daemon or gnome-im-settings or gnome-screensaver in KDE? Does that even make any sense? Yeah I know, I'm a little ---- disturber. Real questions ....
