Why Do I See some gnome stuff running on my system?

Since updating to qt-4.5/kde-4.2.2, I tried kdm again.  Now the shutdown 
button seems to work, so I can use kdm!

I still see these running on my kde desktop:
/usr/libexec/gvfsd
/usr/libexec//gvfs-fuse-daemon /home/nbecker/.

Can't see why I would need them.
