Well, it does seem that KDE does not set all that X environment stuff that GNOME uses. I'll try grepping for the packs. Bar that, I guess I'll just reinstall, and if that doesn't work, perhaps hop to GNOME for a bit. Gotta get internet working, but I don't feel like doing serious detective work here. KDE will probably shine a lot better after F11's DRI2 and KDE 4.2.1 are incorporated anyway, so perhaps I should wait just a little bit longer.
