I agree with the 3rd-party option, but only if it is an obvious option. It just helps in a first-glance awareness. It's what told me why my keyboard was not working correctly in F9. It doesn't look as though there is any such indicator in F10 - is that correct? I suppose that the country code, EN, DE or whatever, on an icon would do the same thing. Since I don't use language switching I don't see how F10 actually does it. The 'Add a language' has been said to have a problem, so I didn't do it as I don't need it.
