When is Konqueror going to become a real browser ? Why hasn't it matured ?

A very good example about how Konqueror has fallen by the wayside involves
Horde. Horde is groupware / webmail. Webmail was traditionally displayed with
the module imp. The latest version of Horde can run webmail with a new module
called dimp. Dimp provides a very nice Ajax interface with a split panel for
header lists and the capacity to display the mail contents underneath. Horde
also is the webmail interface for Kollab. Kollab is a backend groupware / mail
server that was designed to run with Kontact. Only thing is as Kollab was
designed to run with KDE / Kontact in mind, you would expect the web interface
to work in Konqueror. Guess what... it doesn't.
