Hey all,

I just happened to come across the Fedora Infrastructure team wiki page today and I thought that I may be able to help out with things.

I am currently employed full time for a company that provides dedicated and colocated servers as the Director of Operations. I oversee our system administration teams and our environment is compose of mostly RHEL and Fedora boxes. We've also got a handful of Gentoo and Debian machines too. I should mention that since I've used linux on servers mostly, that's where my strengths lie -- I don't have much experience with any GUI's (or desktops) as most of our work is done on the CLI. I've been with this company for some time now and helped us through our "growing pains" as we learned to manage more and more machines through the past few years. (To give you an idea: when I first started, we had 2 full cabinets of servers and now we're well into the hundreds.)

I've been working with Red Hat linux since around 2003 and I obtained my RHCE about two years ago on RHEL4. If anyone needs some help on the sys admin and/or architecture side of the house, definitely give me a shout and I'll see what I can do to help out. In the meantime, I'll be hanging out on IRC (my handle is "spd1snd") and the email list to get a feel for what's been going on lately.

I look forward to becoming more involved.

Thanks.
