Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot Fedora Core 1 with Gnome desktop
2. Open 1 terminal and type the following, pressing "return" after the line
]$ LANG="ja_JP.UTF-8" GTK_IM_MODULE=iiim gedit
3. Toggle on LE (Ctrl + SPACE)
4. Keystrokes
Japanese Kanji type:a k a space enter
Japanese Katakana type:a k a arrow-down enter
Japanese Hiragana type:a k a enter
5. Toggle off LE (Ctrl + SPACE)
Question: Does the character you typed appear inside Gedit?
YES
