normally one will use the "man" command. The man pages are gzipped but
will not implicate anything.

To get the name of all man pages available for alliance
$ rpm -ql alliance | grep man

to read a particular man page:, e.g vhdl
(/usr/share/alliance/man/man5/vhdl.5.gz)
$ man vhdl

(press q to quit and use the cursors to roam through the man page.)

In any digital IC design flow, you will write a script. It will depend
on your project's needs.
