[Fedora-directory-devel] Very slow to run dn_newinst.pl

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

It seems to me that ds_newinst.pl takes a very long time, particularly
in various DNS challenged environments. (I presume this is DNS, from
earlier hints and because of the length of the timeout)

As this should be an automated, scripted process in a tight reproducible
testing environment, I'm trying to avoid it doing anything that would
cause actual network packets.

Is there anything else that could cause ds_newinst.pl to appear to hang?
Is there a way to ensure it never does DNS queries?

Thanks,

Andrew Bartlett
