Well, but shouldn't that be prevented by proper Obsoletes and Provides of the packages, when they are retired?
The obsoletes/provides for ant-trax have been there since August 2010 and the obsoletes/provides for ant-nodeps have been there since January 2011.
The guidelines only mandate that obsoletes/provides have to stick around for 2 releases of fedora before they can be removed so the ant package has been quite generous to keep them around this long.
