I proposed an RPM back in March that generated a jta.jar directly from the installed libgcj.jar, https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-java-list/2005-March/msg00023.html Later I suggested it would be better to simply add this logic to the GCC spec file (on an internal RH mailing list I'm afraid).
