Thanks a lot for this link. I finally found a workflow [1] that fits not bad also when you have multiple source archives or they are not following the usual naming conventions as this is the case with golang packages.

Unfortunately COPR has an issue currently so I have to wait until it is up and running again until I can successfully update the lxd repository with this workflow. But I'm quite happy so far.
