Ok, I'll start with a rather generic question then: Is there a way to (semi-)automatically track upstream git repositories for releases and generate RPMs of it through COPR? I had a look at dgroc which looks not bad at first sight, but concentrates more on nightly builds. And then there is Tito, which can probably do everything but I have a hard time figuring out what I need to start. In my case the spec files are not in the upstream repository. They are actually not in any public VCS yet as I'm unsure how to integrate them in a update procedure.

So far I manually uploaded the src.rpms which I generated through mock after manually downloading the source archives. My wish is to automate this and to make the specs available through github/pagure or something comparable so that people can review and send updates.

Any best practices or examples for this case?

Welcome to the Fedora Community!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Cheers,
Reto
