For python packages, one very useful script is pyp2rpm

https://bitbucket.org/bkabrda/pyp2rpm

It automatically generates an rpm spec file from PyPi. 

Also let me know what packages have been added.  I'm maintaining rpms for Mageia, and there is a lot of cross-rpm work with Fedora.

One other tool that I've been using is "oz".  This generates a virtual disk with linux installed.  I've found that easily generating virtual machines is great for testing and cloud deployment.
