I have installed cups, hplip and all other necessary components. I
have installed an hp8600 printer using system-config-printer from my
notebook (remote connection), and successfully printed the test page.
I then tried to test with enscript:
enscript -2r --margins=:::45 -DDuplex:true -P Den-8600 anaconda-ks.cfg
This enscript command works fine on F21 TC4 x86_64 on my notebook. I
installed the Xfce desktop, then added system-config-printer to be able
add the printer. Oh and of course enscript. My arm install was the
minimal build (no video on Cubieboards to complete an Xfce install), and
then installed:
cups system-config-printer enscript hplip
So I might be missing some component. I had a discussion on this on the
Fedora users list. I was told to test it out on a regular install and
then I would know what to install on minimal. I don't see how this
would work; unless there are obvious errors, how would you know what is
missing? Well I have now tested it on a regular x86_64 install and it
works. Don't know if I can test on an arm Xfce install.
And this fails with "Filter failed".
I was fighting with this on TC2 got this far when it was time to pack
up and go home (was at IETF). So now back at it. Can someone
recommend a testing tool?
I have no trouble with this enscript command on my F20 notebook to the
same printer (but with the F20 cups system).
