Pidora 2014 (Raspberry Pi Fedora Remix) Release
We're excited to announce the release of Pidora 2014 --
an optimized Fedora Remix for the Raspberry Pi.
It is based on a brand new build of Fedora for the ARMv6
architecture with greater speed and includes packages
from the Fedora 20 package set.
Fedora for the Raspberry Pi kinda sucked before, as most of it was built
for ARM v5, and performance was very poor compared to distros built
properly for ARM v6. This new build is looking pretty nice, except for
one thing (at least so far)....
Many RPMs are looking for an installed RPM called kernel-devel, but the
installed package is called raspberrypi-kernel-devel. This prevents me
installing many of the available RPMs.
Regards,
Steve
