It does stop working if you install the Fedora 20 kernels via yum. If you skip this you can update the rest. This is what I did. :-) Or you run the update but revert back to the orignal kernel and related settings.

That was always a remix, personally I have no idea who did that.

I though Hans de Goede was a main person here.

Personally, I have tried to get newer kernel compiled with KVM enabled and failed. :-(
