While asking users to contribute is clearly in the interests of the health of the project, I'm not so sure that it's something I can in good conscience suggest to a person who isn't already contributing out of their own interest in that kind of work/entertainment: If the only difference between Windows and Fedora were that Windows don't suck, the Windows license is nowadays cheap enough that asking the person to produce a patch might quite likely make them overall worse off.
