We look forward to working with FESCo and across the whole > Fedora Project to continue improving the Fedora distribution. This is an important step in the right direction. Thank you to you and the board for taking it. A few comments on the statement: * The overall tone and message is very good. It makes it clear that we care about the experience. * I think the use of the term "update stream" is problematic both in terms of connotation and potential misinterpretation. Perhaps "update sets" or "updates" is better. * I think that the second bullet item under "Vision Statement": "* Stable releases should provide a consistent user experience throughout the lifecycle, and only fix bugs and security issues. " may need to make allowances for some hardware enablement too. * At some point, I would love to see this statement evolve to also include a vision for distinguishing application updates and system updates - in other words more closely match most user's mental model of the system. Or is it the view of the board that is the purview of FESCO? It is still my hope that in the long term we may approach something like what we've described in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Desktop/Whiteboards/UpdateExperience.
