Free speech, like every other freedom, isn't unlimited. One's freedom extends up to where neighbors' freedoms begin. If speech does not respect neighbors, it conflicts with their freedoms, i.e., it goes beyond one's own right to free speech. It's sad that at times people (myself included) may have to be warned at times when we've trespassed the limits of our own freedoms, but respecting our neighbors is hardly an unacceptable sacrifice for the sake of living in community. Ideally, the respect should be voluntary, but unfortunately it isn't always that easy. -- Alexandre Oliva, freedom fighter http://FSFLA.org/~lxoliva/ You must be the change you wish to see in the world. -- Gandhi Be Free! -- http://FSFLA.org/ FSF Latin America board member Free Software Evangelist Red Hat Brazil Compiler Engineer _______________________________________________ fedora-advisory-board mailing list fedora-advisory-board@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-advisory-board
