I'm happy with collecting stack traces
Frankly, I don't trust distros to get the relevant information upstream, so I think GNOME is a better place to collect the traces than Ubuntu/Debian/Fedora.
and I also believe that trying to open one bug per stack trace is a nightmare to triage.
Agreed; GNOME is trying to move to the google/mozilla backend for that, but it will be a bit before that happens.
