I thought that you needed to re register every couple of months as the ssl certificate is part of the registration. I know that on the fedora admin side this was a regular requirement as the cdn rotates certification regularly but that was 3+ years ago

On Fedora, afer following the docs. It used to work, my system is registred.
However, it no longer works. See
