python-configobj - need Python 3 version for EPEL7 but RHEL ships python-configobj

Hi,

I want to move certbot from Python 2 -> Python 3 in EPEL 7. As you might imagine this means getting Python3 packages of all required libraries. Most of them are pretty straight forward (I hope) - just build the Python 3 version also on EPEL 7.

However there is python-configobj which is provided by RHEL as a Python 2-only version.

What is the best way to get a Python 3 version for EPEL 7?
- Maybe the Fedora maintainers of python-configobj change the spec file so on
EPEL 7 we only generate a Python 3 version?

- New package which is only used for EPEL 7?

I filed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1813678 a while ago but noticed that it was assigned to "orphan owner" so I guess nobody every looked at it.

Felix
