Getting packages into EPEL-8

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Dear EPEL developers,

I would like to request a handful of packages for EPEL-8.

Name of the packages and short description and a reason why the package is needed.

Ansible:
Ansible is required for software provisioning and configuration management. It's already available in EPEL-7 and it's actively used so I guess it make sense to push an .el8 package.

Fail2Ban:

Fail2Ban is an Intrusion Prevention Software which protects systems from brute-force attacks. It's already available in EPEL-7 and it's actively used so I guess it make sense to push an .el8 package.

Nagios Plugins:
There is already a Nagios Package in EPEL-8 but without having the Nagios Plugins it's almost worthless to run Nagios.

Neovim:
Neovim is a fork of vim which has a lot of cool features. It's already available in EPEL-7 so I guess it make sense to push an .el8 package.

Tig:

Tig is a Text Mode Interface for git which makes it super easy to track changes. It's already available in EPEL-7 so I guess it make sense to push an .el8 package

Thank you very much in advance.

Cheers,

Willi
