Hi All, Lightdm package got an update on Sep 1st and since then we can’t install it on our centos 7 server. yum install lightdm Loaded plugins: langpacks Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package lightdm.x86_64 0:1.18.3-4.el7 will be installed --> Processing Dependency: lightdm-greeter = 1.2 for package: lightdm-1.18.3-4.el7.x86_64 --> Processing Dependency: lightdm-gobject(x86-64) = 1.18.3-4.el7 for package: lightdm-1.18.3-4.el7.x86_64 --> Running transaction check ---> Package lightdm-gobject.x86_64 0:1.18.3-4.el7 will be installed --> Processing Dependency: glib2(x86-64) >= 2.50.3 for package: lightdm-gobject-1.18.3-4.el7.x86_64 ---> Package lightdm-gtk.x86_64 0:1.8.5-19.el7 will be installed --> Processing Dependency: lightdm-gtk-common = 1.8.5-19.el7 for package: lightdm-gtk-1.8.5-19.el7.x86_64 --> Running transaction check ---> Package lightdm-gobject.x86_64 0:1.18.3-4.el7 will be installed --> Processing Dependency: glib2(x86-64) >= 2.50.3 for package: lightdm-gobject-1.18.3-4.el7.x86_64 ---> Package lightdm-gtk-common.noarch 0:1.8.5-19.el7 will be installed --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Package: lightdm-gobject-1.18.3-4.el7.x86_64 (epel) Requires: glib2(x86-64) >= 2.50.3 Installed: glib2-2.46.2-4.el7.x86_64 (@anaconda) glib2(x86-64) = 2.46.2-4.el7 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles –nodigest It looks like it has a dependency for glibc2 version that don’t exist in centos base repo. I tried to find older version of lightdm but couldn’t find Can you help? Thanks Yossi |
