They get > converted to dashes. Actually, now I look at it, I'm not sure always showing the 'mandatory' pre-hub network spoke is the best option, though I don't really hate it. When I thought about this bug I was thinking more along the lines of just having the Network spoke available on the live installer, with only the 'hostname' element and a text note to use the desktop tools to configure the network settings...so similar, but not using the pre-hub spoke.
