No, as that was one of the design goals to make the install faster.
Configuration which does not need to be done before packages are copied was moved to the progress screen (we will add more).

We changed the root password dialog to require a visit by the user though. The "is mandatory" logic will probably change a bit when user creation and new firstboot get included (F19).

Have you ever seen the system configuration app from Gnome or Mac OS X? They both have the back button at the same place as anaconda. The icon is different, but the concept is the same. (screenshots attached)

I haven't seen an application having a real button in the top right corner yet. Only the decoration has controls there (and I for one have them on the left side...).

The button in question really is not "close dialog", neither it is "close app" or "cancel". It stands for return to the main screen. We should probably add an arrow and make it more visible, but personally I like it there.
