Or /etc/resolv.conf isn't setup in the chroot environment. In --novirt mode anaconda is running on the host so it might have access to the VPN. %post --nochroot is a possibility, but you then have to be very careful not to screw up the host system. eg. the path to /boot will be /mnt/sysimage/boot/ -- Brian C.
