Playing more with the XS DVD - which you can grab here http://xs-dev.laptop.org/xs/other/Fedora-0.5.dev2-i386.iso - - if I add 'upgradeany' to the boot line, it does offer to upgrade, and it lists the F7 partition (/dev/sda2) with the correct name ("Fedora 7 (Moonshine)"), meaning it read it from /etc/redhat-release . - without the 'upgradeany' line, looking at anaconda.log shows isys.py mounting /dev/sda2 successfully - dmesg shows no errors on mount, and a manual mount of /dev/sda2 succeeds. Very strange, but at least I have a workaround now (upgradeany) cheers, martin -- martin.langhoff@xxxxxxxxx martin@xxxxxxxxxx -- School Server Architect - ask interesting questions - don't get distracted with shiny stuff - working code first - http://wiki.laptop.org/go/User:Martinlanghoff _______________________________________________ Anaconda-devel-list mailing list Anaconda-devel-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/anaconda-devel-list
