I did some stuff to F8, to notify user when upgrading the architecture of previous instalation. Unfortunately I didn't think of missing /etc/rpm/platform. So.. I have added some guesswork to the code as fallback and would like to hear your comments on it. It is related to: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=430115 And the patch in question is: > We have something like this in yuminstall.py, but i think this is more > general and it would be possible to use it in _checkUpgradeArch in there as > well. > > But I'm not sure about the rpm database stuff (what about database > locks?) and also the python-magic module will be new in the stage2 image (cca > 300KB). > > Without those two concerns, the code works on at least 4 machines here > in the office. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=295173 -- Martin Sivak msivak@xxxxxxxxxx Red Hat Czech s.r.o. http://cz.redhat.com Purkynova 99/71, 612 45 Brno, Czech Republic Registered in Brno under #CZ27690016
