Architecture guess for Fedora update

I did some stuff to F8, to notify user when upgrading the
architecture of previous instalation.

Unfortunately I didn't think of missing /etc/rpm/platform.

So.. I have added some guesswork to the code as fallback and would like
to hear your comments on it.

It is related to: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=430115

And the patch in question is:
