Hi,anaconda gurus I guess my question is too complicated and too obscure to get any response. I have tried to summarize my question.Hopefully I can get some suggestions from you. How is the modprobe.conf file generated during the installation process? and How is the initrd.img file genertated? I have downloaded the anaconda source file to investigate. could you give me some hint on where to focuse on if I wanna find answer to my question? thanks scott 2007/12/14, leilei175@xxxxxxxxx <leilei175@xxxxxxxxx>: > Yes,it is RHEL4.editting /etc/modprobe.conf can solve this > problem.Actually simply doing a mkinitrd after the OS is installed and > using the newly created initrd.img file can solve this issue too. > However I am still curious about how come the /etc/modprobe.conf file > is generated in a different way in RHEL4u5.Also,how did the OS > installer and OS are probing and naming devices in a different way. > Is this related to kudzu, > or initrd.img file in the /isolinux directory in the disk > or udev > or other parts in the linux? > > Hopefully my questions won't be too many and troublesome. > Really appreciate your help and explaining. > > thanks > scott > > 2007/12/14, Dave Lehman <dlehman@xxxxxxxxxx>: > > > > On Fri, 2007-12-14 at 11:11 +0800, leilei175@xxxxxxxxx wrote: > > > Hi guys, > > > I have some problem with RedHat linux installer. > > > > Is this with RHEL4?
