can you NFS install using a DVD iso image?

  i just got private email from someone who claimed that he could NFS 
install from a DVD iso image, but that he had to loopback mount the 
image first.  if you mount it, then, obviously, you should be able to 
install from it since you're just treating it as a directory tree 
rather than an iso image.

  but can't you NFS install from just having the DVD image sitting in 
the directory without having to do a mount?  that would make it 
consistent with how CD iso images are used.

  i don't have a DVD image in front of me so i can't test it. 
thoughts?
