RHEL install hangs on ata_piix driver

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

I'm installing RHEL v3 onto a system running a SuperMicro P4Sci motherboard. When the install program starts loading drivers, it hangs while loading the ata_piix driver. Apparently this is the driver for Intel-based SATA controllers. I am indeed running SATA drives, mirrored in a RAID configuration.

Does anyone know why the install program doesn't like loading this driver? Any suggestions on getting the install to proceed?

Thanks,

Norman
