RE: FW: Missing RPM

In my case, I combine RPM from CD 1,2,3,and 4 into one CD, so
technically, I did delete the overall RPM counts. Is this mean I also
need to use buildinstall also, or is genhdlist enough? By the way, I
just try using genhdlist in a newer rebuild environment (build
workstation is RHEL 3.0, and the custom build CD I am trying to make is
also RHEL3.0), and ran into the same problem. It install 251 of the 257
packages. The good news is that the during the installation, it update
the RPM that got install from the /Redhat/Updates folder on the CD.
However, I am still getting the following error in my install.log

/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.57911: line 3: /sbin/install-info: No such file or
directory
error: %post(libgcj-3.2.3-20) scriptlet failed, exit status 12

Any idea?

If you just want to add RPMs, you only need genhdlist. If you want to
remove RPMs, change the installer, optimize the CD layout for your
packages, etc., then you need buildinstall and friends. Check out this
