Inside my latest RHEL 3.0 Update 1 CD, I notice there is a folder in there calls Update (/RedHat/Updates). I am making a customize ISO image for my company, and what we have done in the past (with RedHat 9.0), we create a separate Update folder that contain the latest Update during the time, copy the folder to the drive during post installation. After it rebooted, it ran a script I wrote and update the RPM that away. From what I am seeing here, the Updates folder/location from RHEL 3.0 Update 1, it seem to do this during the installation phrase. Since my iso image only installs 254 packages, and most of the RPMS inside the update folders do not apply to me, my questions are as follow 1. Will it break something if I didn't RPMS in the Updates folder that I didn't install 2. Can I add additional RPMS into the Update Folder and it will automatically update additional RPM I have install? Or do I need to edit some additional files? dwc Both the individual sending this e-mail and The Lubrizol Corporation intend that this electronic message be used exclusively by the individual or entity to which it is intended to be addressed.
