You just need the kernel-smp inside your RPMS directory.  It can be in
your comps file in a group you don't specify for installation
(placeholder).  Anaconda will see your machine is SMP and install it. 
It does not need to be in ks.cfg nor do you need to worry about logic on
UP vs. SMP systems.
