Hi ,
can anyone help me create a kernel rpm for a customized kernel image and put it in cd1 of redhat (7.3)
What all need to be put in the kernel rpm ? (apart from kernel image, initrd image which I have compiled and created)
how exactly do I create this rpm.
where do I put this in cd1 (red hat 7.3) and what all steps do I need to make sure this gets installed.
And do I have to rebuild cd-2 and 3 also if I change this in cd 1?

Also as this initrd image contains a updated driver for HP (compaq) raid , my installation till now used driver disk during initial install and then I used to upgrade the kernel.
Will I need to change boot.img or some other initrd image in my cd-1 also so that it boots up without driver disk or the updated kernel rpm will take care of it?

I am also looking at literature available over the net. But it would be great if I can get help on this

thx in advance,
regards,
vinay
